KidSafe will do a lot of things under the hood to aid your child in getting the best possible web experience.

In highlights this includes:

• Act as a full screen application.
  Removes all the clutter and puts the content on the center stage.
• Disables the dock in full screen mode.
  Avoids accidental starting of and shifting to other applications.
  
  
• Hides the menu bar in full screen mode.
  The menu bar will be out of sight, but will be readily at hand should you need it.
  
  
• Disables alt-tab application switching
  in full screen mode.
  Believe me when I say that this can happen.
  
  
• Disables application hiding in full screen mode.
  KidSafe cannot be hidden neither by the application menu nor via keyboard shortcut.
  
  
• Disables the Apple menu along with logout
  and shutdown in full screen mode.
  Admittedly not that likely to happen but better be safe than sorry.
  
  
• Shows up in all Spaces.
  When in windowed mode KidSafe will stick like glue no matter how many spaces you've set up.
  When in full screen mode KidSafe will dissmiss Spaces altogether.
  
  
• Handles pop up windows
  Ignores browser initiated requests for new browser windows while loading user initiated requests into the current window.
  
  
• Speaks the language of kids
  By displaying a friendly icon KidSafe will assist your child in determining when to call on you for support for those occasions when your aid really is required
  (ie. when a network connection drops).
